    Rebekah is a qualified Highland dance teacher with international recognition. She holds both Members and Associate Diplomas in Highland from the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD), and gained her international teaching qualification in 2016.

    With over 22 years of experience as a Highland dancer, Rebekah brings a deep understanding of the discipline, dedication, and artistry required to succeed in the sport. Her long-standing involvement in the Highland dance community shapes her leadership and vision for the studio.

    Rebekah is the founder of Highland Evolution, a dynamic and inclusive Highland dance school where dancers are supported by a passionate teaching team. Together, they focus on building strong foundations, encouraging creativity, and helping each dancer reach their potential. The team-based approach ensures a positive and nurturing environment, with students benefiting from a range of expertise and teaching styles.

    She has proudly represented New Zealand at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Wellington and continues to guide dancers to success on both national and international stages. Most recently, she led a group to compete in Sydney, Australia, where they earned outstanding results.

    In addition to technical training, Highland Evolution is known for its innovative choreography, blending traditional Highland technique with fresh, modern elements. Each year, the team produces a vibrant end-of-year performance that showcases the dancers’ growth and celebrates their achievements. These productions are a highlight for families and the wider community, combining storytelling, energy, and a love of dance.

  • Assistant Teacher

    With over 17 years of continuous experience in Highland dancing, Georgia brings a wealth of knowledge, performance expertise, and choreographic talent to every class.

    She has worked in teaching and assisting within our studio from a young age and has played a key role in choreographing productions for both local primary school and studio performances.

    Her career so far includes international performance and competition experience, having represented elite performance teams across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

    Selected through audition, she has trained and performed at a high level, gaining invaluable experience on global stages.

    Known for her professionalism, creativity, and deep understanding of Highland technique and performance, Georgia offers high-quality instruction and choreography that reflects both traditional foundations and modern flair.

    Her commitment to excellence and passion for dance make her a dynamic and inspiring presence in our Highland Evolution studios.
